In the midst of Rolling Stone features, touring with Tapes ‘n Tapes, and hitting the festival circuit, its been a while since White Denim has played an Austin show. What better homecoming than a full night of Austin’s best music at the Mohawk? We’ve already mentioned Brazos, as one of the best new (more like re-newed) bands out now, with their all-star band members and impressive EP A City Just As Tall.
Peel’s power pop and Zookeeper’s indie swing will make for the perfect night of Austin indie rock. Along with White Denim, Peel was one of the first bands switchburn filmed, so yes- we are totally playing favorites, but with good reason. Even with no door price listed yet, to see all four of these bands on the same bill is a steal. Keep it local with White Denim, Brazos, Peel, and Zookeeper Thursday, August 21 at the Mohawk.

More Local Goodness: Zykos Live Videos
Zykos, one of Austin’s favorite-although-they-never-play bands, has always been one of those bands people discover and don’t know where they’ve been along. Lucky for us, we found them last year, and they played a show with The French Kicks and Frightened Rabbit at the Mohawk in June. They released Keep It Light earlier this year and will be playing a show in Oregon with another Austin favorite, Okkervil River in Oregon in mid September. Check it:
