Some interesting news from The Famousish- OCELOT is playing a farewell show before they leave for the UK, tonight at Black & Tan. Get learned:

1. Ocelot (leopardus pardalis) n. A nocturnal wildcat of the brush and forests of the southwest United States and Central and South.

OR

2. OCELOT (cannatus containas thafunkas) n. Also known as OCELOT MTHRFCKRS, a duo of DJs, who can be found beat dropping from central Texas to the UK, known for monster trance dance remixes, keeping party pic websites in business, and use of plush kittens in party fliers, personal photos, and animated gifs.

Something cool or retarded: OCELOT is made up of Cory Kilduff of Austin, TX and James Welsh of Leeds, England, which is more cool than retarded considering the amount of success they’ve had with an ocean between them. I first saw the duo last year with Stay Gold and Markus with a K, on a frigid ass night in December. These KTTNBTRS kept it bangin all night- back when those ‘Mr. Postman’ mixes first started to get hot. They have a mix out on No Love Lost Records, and you can download the whole mthrfckr here.

The UK/TX duo will be playing with Bird Peterson, who put out a Chicago remix I absolutely love- those old school horns sound great over a fast track and Outkast. They will also be having ’special guests’, which likely means ‘graphic designers who want to be DJs’ playing Crookers all night. But hey, them party posters look dope. All this for $3 tonight!
