Last night introduced me to some new talent- specifically Aaron Lacrate, who played a solo set and then DJed for the incredible Dizzee Rascal performance. A few things I like about this guy- he has worked with Spank Rock and Amanda Blank, did a Baltimore photo exhibit with Mark Ronson, and has been pictured numerous times with an over 24 oz. adult beverage. Emo’s isn’t exactly a dance hall, but Lacrate laid down some heavy club tracks, and for once made me wish that I was at Beauty Bar instead of Emo’s. Maybe ‘XR2′ is over-sampled, but those horns still get things going:

Things worth being tired on Tuesday: the Dizzie Rascal show- DAMN. In a crowd of less than 300, Dizzee put on a rowdy outside show, complete with cameos from special guest- Bun B! Bun joined Dizzee on ‘Where Da G’s’ and then posted up the rest of the night on stage, cold chillin’…The boy in the corner’s new single ‘Dance Wiv Me’ isn’t as Dizzee as I like- but sounded great last night, check out:
