Zeale (above) and Phranchyze are playing the Exit Music Fest tomorrow at Waterloo Park. Zeale has collaborated with Word Association, plays MC for Los Bad Apples and sounds like a young Jay Z. Starting in poetry slams, Zeale’s “Upwurdz” doesn’t sound like a newcomer’s song by any means, this guy is a serious talent recorded or live. Flowmasters is offering up a free mixtape for download featuring Zeale, Phranchyze, Jaysin of Word Association, Chamillionaire, Mike and Ike, and Bavu Blakes.
The Black & White Years- The guys are everywhere. They just teamed up with RCRD LBL, putting out 3 tracks for download and just booked the 12 pm time slot Saturday at the Austin City Limits Festival, the same time slot that was the break out performance of another Austin band just two years ago.
The Boxing Lesson- This will not be the only festival for them this summer either, after playing the First Day of Summer Fest two weeks ago, they will be playing the D-Fest in Oklahoma, and the Pecan Street Festival downtown in September. They also will be playing the 101X’s Next Big Thing show with The Warlocks and The Vandellas and a show with A Place to Bury Strangers, both at Emo’s.
Other great acts playing the four stages of the festival: Patrice Pike, White Ghost Shivers, AM Syndicate, and Dustin Welch. Zeale will be playing to an expected 15,000 person turn out at the festival tomorrow- you will be hearing a lot more about this guy soon. [Buy Tickets]

I would have loved to see Zeale32 at Exit Fest. Skyblue72 and The Black & White Years would have been great too. Too bad they pulled the plug on the whole festival before the headliners could play. What a joke!
