bob dylan muralThey are celebrating their anniversary with free shows and drink specials all week. Recognized from the street by a Bob Dylan mural (left) on the outside wall of the bar, Hole in the Wall is the oldest music venue in Austin. A place where beer signs are the only ‘bar decor’, Hole in the Wall hasn’t changed much since it opened- and that’s a good thing.

Located across the street from the Austin City Limits Studio on the drag, with live music every night (Spoon played here in September 1997), patio shows free always, and one of Austin’s best jukeboxes, Hole in the Wall is something to celebrate. Haunting Oboe Music, Red Monroe and Frank Smith begin the festivities tonight.
